The Terms & Conditions
The below contract is provided to protect you as my client and clearly details the service that you will receive from Fancy Dazzlers(DJ Craig) as well as informing you of anything that I require in order to ensure I can give you the best service possible.
Hopefully, it also gives you peace of mind that you are booking a professional to take care of the entertainment at your event. If you have any questions about any of the details, please reach out.
Once you have paid your deposit and received a booking confirmation email your event date is secure with me. In all the years that I have been providing entertainment, I have never let a client down, I have never pulled out at the last minute or failed to attend an event. In the absolute worst-case scenario that I am extremely unwell or hospitalised, I will do everything in my power to ensure your event is covered by an equally professional, fully briefed DJ. I am a part of a network of local DJs that can be called upon if ever required.
Section 1 - Booking Details
I ask that there is adequate set-up time available. At least 60 minutes before the start time of the event and 60 minutes after the event to break down the equipment and leave the venue. If this time is not given, it may delay the start of the entertainment. If there are any access issues or stairs, please let me know as soon as possible so I can plan extra time to set up if needed. This stands unless otherwise discussed or arranged by both parties involved.
Section 2 - Payment Details
You can make a payment straight into my business bank account via BACs. When making any payment, please use the event date as your reference to ensure I can track the payment.
No booking is secure until a non-refundable deposit is received and then a booking confirmation email is sent.
The deposit is a small percentage of the total agreed price paid upfront. The amount of this is depending on what service is being supplied. I will only hold a quote for 24 hours from it being sent then it cannot be guaranteed that your event is safe and available to book.
All outstanding balances are to be paid, As followed 1 month before day of a wedding and 1 week before other events or unless otherwise stated by DJ Craig this will be stated in your booking confirmation email. I reserve the right to cancel all of or any event entertainment or hired equipment, if payment is not made.
Section 3 - Alcohol & Music Licences
In some instances, the booking times may exceed the venue's alcohol and music licenses. It is the client’s responsibility to obtain the full and correct information in relation to the finish time of the event and the music finish time for the event as these can occasionally be two different times. Fancy Dazzlers(DJ Craig) will endeavour to source these if he is unfamiliar with the venue.
Should I arrive at the venue to be advised by the venue staff that there is an earlier finish time than what the client, has previously advised then I must finish at the time stipulated by the venue staff to ensure (by law) that I adhere to the venue's licensing requirements. No refund of any kind will be issued if the music has to stop due to direction from the venue. It is your responsibility as the client to ensure the venue holds the correct alcohol and music licences.
Section 5 - Changes to any booking
Should you wish to change the date or location of the event, please let me know as soon as possible. If I do not have availability due to an event date change, It will be your choice to cancel the booking and forfeit the deposit or full amount if within 14 days of a Wedding or 7 days of other events.
All changes must be made by email to b[email protected] No telephone or in-person changes will be accepted.
Section 6 - Cancellations
After booking, I will be holding the date exclusively for you. The potential loss of work in the event of a cancellation is real and tangible. If cancelled within 14 days of a Wedding or 7 days of other events, I will not refund any payment made.
Cancellations must be made by email to [email protected] No telephone or in-person cancellations will be accepted.
Section 7 - Conduct
No violence, aggressive or abusive behaviour from anyone will be tolerated. I reserve the right to terminate the booking at any time without a refund if personal safety is under threat, or if I as the DJ have been threatened or if my equipment is purposefully damaged.
It is your responsibility to inform me of any guests who suffer from medical conditions that may be affected by strobe, laser, UV or flashing lights prior to the event.
Section 8 - The Venue
If the event start time is delayed due to the inability of myself to gain access to the venue or any other delay beyond my control, you will not be eligible for a refund.
I cannot accept any responsibility for electrical faults or power cuts in the venue.
If you have booked a smoke/Haze machine you will need to obtain permission to use it from the venue. I will not be held responsible should my smoke/haze machine trigger any alarms in the venue or require a fire service call-out.
If the venue has a sound limiter, I cannot control when and if the power cuts off due to excessive noise from music or guests.
Section 9 - Other
I cannot be held responsible for not having any specific songs unless this has been requested prior to the event date and confirmed that it is available to play. I cannot guarantee to obtain or play all the songs requested, this could be due to song availability, no cellular network or DJ music providers out of service, all of which are out of my control.
I use premium, reliable equipment however during any event with any entertainment, very rarely equipment may malfunction. If this is ever the case, I may need to change or reset the equipment in order to rectify any issues.
I may take photos and videos for use on social media platforms or my website. These may be used in promotional materials, if this is an issue please let me know before the event starts.
